Greater London in Coronavirus Tier 3 (Very high alert) from Weds 16th Dec 00:01

Due to a sharp rise in Coronavirus cases, Greater London (32 boroughs + the City of London) will move in to Tier 3 (Very high alert) on Wednesday Dec 16th at 00:01.
Most surrounding counties including all of Kent, most of Surrey, and parts of Beds, Bucks, and Essex are (or will be - as of Saturday) in Tier 3 as well.

The Usual Stuff

Stay 2m (6ft) away from people that you don't live with where practical, and at least 1m (3ft) away at all times. Do your very best to maintain hygiene, washing your hands and shared surfaces at every opportunity. And of course, you should only do what you're comfortable with.
If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, even mild, stay home for at least 10 days until you no-longer have a temperature. Get a test through the gov.uk testing website or calling 119. Others in your household must stay home for 14 days source.
Most coronavirus cases are mild, but if you're very ill, call 111, or in an emergency, call 999 - DO NOT go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital with COVID-19. Continue to keep NHS appointments for other purposes unless your clinician tells you otherwise or the government changes the advice.

What are the restrictions?

Under Tier 3:
Single adult households can still form a (permanent) mutual support bubble with one other household.
There are various other exceptions for things like weddings (up to 15 people), funerals (30 people) and in a few other areas. You can read the full Tier 3 restrictions here.
You can leave your home to escape injury or harm.
If you break these rules you may be fined from £1000 or more, depending on the offence.

Making a Christmas Bubble

Between 23rd and 27th December the rules are being loosened so we can see close family and friends over the festive period. For these four days you can form an exclusive ‘Christmas bubble’ composed of people from no more than three households
Note that:

Can I visit London now?

Theoretically yes. Many of the typical tourist attractions will be closed during Tier 3 so make sure you check anything you want to do in advance and book the limited space available.
Many incoming foreign travellers from higher risk countries are subject to a mandatory two week quarantine. Check if your country is on the list.

Test to Release scheme

Starting on Dec 15th, you can reduce your time in isolation after arrival to 5 days (instead of 10 days) by paying for a coronavirus test.
This must be from a test provider participating in the government scheme and you have to opt in on your passenger locator form when you arrive in England from abroad. There are currently very few providers and the tests are quite expensive (£180) but this list will likely be expanded in the coming weeks. You will need to pre-book (there's considerable lead time).
The full guidance is here

Can I go somewhere else?

The government advises that you should not leave a Tier 3 area unless for work, education, or some other good reason, and if you normally live in a Tier 3 area you should not stay away from home overnight.

Face masks

Face coverings are compulsory on all forms of public transport and in all shops, takeaways, hospitals and care homes. This is a law and you can be fined if you do not comply. You don't need to buy a fancy respirator, instead think about buying or making your own from fabric, or use a scarf or bandana. As long as you wash them at a decent heat between uses this is much more environmentally friendly than disposable surgical masks.

The NHS App

The NHS COVID-19 app is now available. It uses Apple & Google's co-developed bluetooth protocol which does not transmit any of your personal details to anyone, including the government. It's been used as the basis for apps in privacy-conscious countries like Germany and Ireland, and is generally considered safe and secure.
The app is particularly effectively in dense urban areas, and NHS England's also includes features to help you check in to venues and get a test.

Greater London under Tier 2 from tomorrow, Weds 2nd Dec

London (and the rest of England) will be returning to the Tier system. Initially we'll be under Tier 2 (High alert) along with most of the rest of England.
Notable Tier 3 areas near London include all of Kent* and Slough.
(*the administrative county, not Bromley and Bexley that still sometimes claim to be in it)

Almost everything should now be reopening, except for nightclubs.
However there are restrictions under Tier 2:

Can I go somewhere else?

You can travel to Tier 1 or Tier 2 areas. When in a Tier 1 area, you must continue to obey Tier 2 rules. The government advises against travel to Tier 3 areas for all but essential purposes.
There are different rules for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. We will need to confirm what they are over the next few days.

Irish Coin 918Kaya Slot game 2020/2021 Review

You will think that its difficult to oppose the calls of the merry little leprechaun who whistles at you in Irish Coins by 918Kaya Casino. Promising to direct you toward wealth beyond anything you could ever imagine, your new ginger-haired companion is joined by a lovely red-haired pixie who ripples her eyelashes and welcomes you with a newly poured half quart of lager. We would have favored a 16 ounces of the 'Dark Stuff' to wet our lips and extinguish our thirst prior to journeying through numerous miles of moving green slopes in Ireland, yet why should we grumble in the wake of accepting quite a warm welcome? Flanked by a couple of blue pots flooding with gleaming gold coins, the Celtic-outlined reels house a 3x5 game network. A beautiful perspective on the Irish field has been caught out of sight, however we're baffled that it is static. A unique foundation with soft mists moving and blossoms tenderly influencing would have been a significantly more amazing sight. All things considered, our chipper leprechaun companion rejuvenates the reels on account of the utilization of 3D designs. Presented over the fifth reel against a lively rainbow, he can show up indiscriminately to flip fortunate gold coins (wild images) onto irregular positions. He'll even give you a wink and have a laugh as he does – it's marvelous!

Investigate a Lush Green Meadow

We typically hope to hear fiddles and harps being played at whatever point we play online gambling machines with an Irish topic, however we sort of realized what's in store in the sound division in this 918Kaya delivery. The brand name running commotion that echoes out as each reel comes to a standstill has been incorporated, and you'll probably wind up hitting the quiet catch. In any event the landscape is delightful! As Irish Coins is a 5-reel, 20-payline space with coin esteems going from 0.01 to 5, you can begin investigating the rich green glade looking for gold coins from a low restriction of simply 0.20 credits. Those of you with more prominent trust in the leprechaun and pixie driving you to wealth during your visit to Ireland can tap the maximum wager catch to stake 100 credits for every turn.

Loaded up With Stereotypes and Big Prizes

To find the number of Irish coins could discover their way into your pockets, you'll need to see the payouts recorded on the compensation table. It features that an aggregate of 13 images include in the Irish Coins video opening, starting with those troublesome alphanumeric playing card images. These incorporate 9, 10, J, Q, K and An images, every one of which seems to be indistinguishable from how they show up in other gambling club gaming machines created by 918Kaya. The way that the plan group couldn't be tried to invest any energy into giving them a makeover to underline the Irish karma topic is generally disillusioning. Toadstools and lucky charms are the following most lucrative images on the compensation table, the two of which are recognizable images in Irish-themed spaces. Try not to stress in the event that you dismiss the leprechaun, as the path of smoke he abandons from puffing on his brilliant line makes it simple to find him once more. Finding the perfect red-haired pixie, who seems wearing a fortunate good luck charm neckband, is consistently a joy. Not exclusively will you wonder about her magnificence, yet she will connect with give you a truly necessary 16 ounces after all the strolling you've done.
The last standard image in Irish Coins is our hero, the unshaven leprechaun, who seems wearing an emerald-shaded suit and formal hat alongside a brilliant bow. Snickering joyfully at whatever point he shows up, he will offer his appreciation and give you a wave as he slips loads of coins into your pockets. CasinoDep at a Glance

There is something about CasinoDep that got us thinking. This pirate-themed casino fronted by a buck-toothed pirate with a pot-belly invites us to explore the seven seas in hunt of treasures.
Although the name of the casino itself got us scratching our heads, our first thought was that it was based on actor Johnny Depp’s role in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise. Maybe this is a little far fetched, but the theme is eerily familiar.
But if we put the theme to the side, CasinoDep is a colourful and vibrant casino that should appeal to players who want more than a dark design background. This casino oozes fun and it shows from the get-go.
As a player, you can feast on the CasinoDep no deposit bonus and a rather enticing welcome deposit offer. The games on offer cover all game preferences and everything has been clearly marked to help you navigate with ease.
Keep on reading to learn more about CasinoDep and what is on offer for you when you register for an account.

CasinoDep Withdrawal Review
The minimum withdrawal amount at CasinoDep stands at a hefty €/C$50, which is quite high if you are looking to cash out. Though it is not unheard off, it is quite steep for low-rollers.
It has a small range of withdrawals methods, including both standards and e-wallet options. You can also use bitcoin to cash out your withdrawals, though it comes with a 1% surcharge. We’re never happy with seeing withdrawal charges, but this along with bank transfers are the only exception.
  • Standard currencies accepted: EUR, CAD, NOK, USD, PLN and BTC.
  • Cryptocurrencies accepted: Bitcoin.
  • Minimum deposit: €20.
  • Minimum withdrawal amount: €50.
Withdrawals can take between three and five working days to be processed.

Deposits & Withdrawal Methods available at CasinoDep

CasinoDep does not have the biggest range of payment methods on offer. It covers all the most prominent payment methods, but it might not be enough for players who are looking for more variety.
You can opt for the usual suspects, including Visa and Mastercard, e-wallets such as Neteller, Skrill and Neosurf as well as bank transfers.
Canadian players can opt for Interac or ecoPayz to make their deposits.

Play 2,200+ CasinoDep Games

CasinoDep has a bountiful game library brimming with a variety of games that should keep you spin-happy. These games are shown into convenient game categories, including New, Live Casino, Slots, Table, Arcade and Jackpots. You can also search for games by the game provider or by name.
The list of game suppliers might not be the longest one out there, but it comes all the basis to bring you a solid collection of top-notch names, including NetEnt, Microgaming, Betsoft, Thunderkick, Endorphina, Evolution Gaming and Red Tiger.
We were quite satisfied with the games on offer, especially when it comes to jackpots. We’ve noticed a recent trend where casinos skip progressive jackpots for the more trendy daily drops and wins. This wasn’t the case here.

Slots

Slot games make up the biggest chunk of the game library at CasinoDep. To help you navigate even better through this mammoth collection, you can browse games by Bonus Games, Last Released and Most Played. This is very handy for players who haven’t quite made up their mind yet and need a little extra help.
Amongst some of the big games on offer, there is Gonzo’s Quest, Turn your Fortune, the Starburst game, Dead or Alive, Jumanji and Take the Bank.
The jackpot section is what truly delighted us though. We found all player favourites, including the epic Mega Moolah, Divine Fortune, The SlotFather and At the Copa amongst others.

Live Casino

CasinoDep is also home to a variety of RNG table games for players who prefer a no-fuss gaming session. You can find all classic casino games that we’ve grown to love.
For players who want something a little different, the enhanced live casino section is powered by none other than Evolution Gaming. This always bodes well as the games are of the highest calibre.
You can play a variety of Live Blackjack, Live Roulette and Live Baccarat variants. However, you can also join one of the many game shows, including Deal or No Deal, Monopoly Live, Dream Catcher and Crazy Time amongst others.

Software Developers found at CasinoDep

You can find circa 29 big game developers at CasinoDep. These game suppliers are some of the best and most trustworthy game suppliers in the industry, so you are in safe hands when it comes to RNGs and fairness.
Amongst some of the big names available here, there is NetEnt, Microgaming, Quickspin, Thunderkick, Playson, Red Tiger, Evolution Gaming, Betsoft, Gamomat and Nextgen Gaming.

Look & Feel of CasinoDep

As mentioned earlier, we think CasinDep has kept the design simple, colorful and fun, which is super for players who don’t want a serious casino. However, it can also border on looking outdated on some pages.
On mobile, CasinoDep worked seamlessly. We had to connect to the wi-fi to enjoy live dealer games without any glitches, but that is always expected with games that require huge bandwidth.

ComeOn Casino & Sports Review

The company is fairly new to the online gambling business, having started in 2008 under Malta’s jurisdiction, although it’s obviously racked some years under its belt already. Now that I think of it, we rarely review sites younger than ComeOn!, probably because you need to see how a site treats its customers for consistent period of time.
To make it as an online gambling site, you need to provide years and years of consistently honest and high-quality service to get us to write about you. (We wish some of the other informational gambling sites followed the same principles – when dealing with real money, it’s better to be safe than sorry.)
You might assume that ComeOn is diving deeper into the UK market by agreeing to a sponsorship deal with Liverpool – however, the sponsorship is mainly used to promote ComeOn! to Liverpool’s Scandinavian fanbase, which is quite significant considering that John Arne Riise (Norway) and Sami Hyypia (Finland) were important first-team players within the Liverpool squad, and both were in the starting line-up when Liverpool won the Champions League in 2005.

About ComeOn Casino

ComeOn and play! With a name like ComeOn!, you’re already off to a fun start.
ComeOn! offers both a Casino and Sportsbook with Live Betting in each, and its name reflects its personality. I was excited to see a fun, lighthearted approach to online gambling. After all, what other casino mentions Shakespeare in their “About” section?
The attractive website featuring clever explanations and instructions especially shines through on the promotions page and in the sportsbook. You’ve got enough information to keep you satisfied, but not too much to bore you. The bonuses and rewards offers are abundant, well-organized and explained. The sportsbook has one of the most user-friendly layouts, and that can be tricky when you’re featuring endless numbers.
I certainly don’t want to leave out the casino as it features a combination of the top software companies. The result is a total of over 500 gaming favorites including some of the life-changing progressive slot jackpots like the “Megas” – Fortune and Moolah. You’ll also find Hall of Gods, and ten others that you may be familiar with if you’re a slot aficionado.

Who Can Play at ComeOn! Casino?

I’m on the UK-version of the casino that offers the most significant variety for players, as some of the gaming is restricted in other geographical areas.
Although the site is open to customers from most countries, it does not allow players from the following countries:
  • United States
  • Australia
  • Czech Republic
  • Croatia
  • Curaçao
  • France
  • Hungary
  • Ireland
  • Netherlands
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Romania
  • Spain
  • Turkey

Software Suppliers

I think it’s a benefit when a casino provides games from a wide variety of software companies. It not only boosts the number of games and the variations, but it allows for more of the top progressive jackpots.
For example, using both NetEnt and Microgaming allows ComeOn! Slot players access to both of the all-time big money games, Mega Fortune and Mega Moolah.
The casino offers selections from Evolution Gaming, Microgaming, NetEnt, Play ‘n Go, Playtech, WMS, and Yggdrasil. The sportsbook features Sports Betting Tech software.
There is a list of exclusions in the terms and conditions area that come with each of the companies. Each software developer has its individual licensing and restrictions, so the game catalog will vary depending on where you live.
In the case of Microgaming and NetEnt, there are also some specific game restrictions. So, where you may see some of their offerings, a few titles will be removed based on location. The same applies to Sports Betting Tech and the sportsbook access.

The Good Stuff

2,000+ Game Casino

Not only are there plenty of gaming options, but I like the combination of the top providers like NetEnt and Microgaming used as players can choose from their all-time favorites in one place. There is a wide range of games for the slot, table game, and video poker players but, specialty games is notably missing from the menu. The addition of some scratch cards, keno, bingo, and parlor games would take the casino to the next level.

Fast Payouts

If you’re using Skrill or Neteller as your financial method of choice, you can have your cash on hand in about a day. There’s a 24-hour internal processing window. But then, while credit cards and bank transfers could hold up the process for a few more days (or even up to seven), e-wallets have immediate transfer capability. Compared to some sites that take a week or two to pay, a 24-hour turnaround possibility is a considerable benefit.

Highly Recommended For Sports Bettors

Not only is the sportsbook extremely functional and, even the absolute beginner can navigate him or herself around easily, but this operator focuses on promotional opportunities for sports punters and provides an “odds boost” section. Players who use both the sportsbook and casino won’t miss out on anything by having to choose one over the other. The welcome bonus package and other offers aren’t “either or.” Clients can take advantage of all of the offers but just can’t combine the types of betting when meeting a wagering requirement.

The Bad Stuff

Mobile Casino

While I wouldn’t exactly call the mobile casino “bad,” it was disappointing. While there are plenty of gaming options, just over 400 to be more precise, it lacks the sorting mechanisms and information provided on the full website. A list of promotions isn’t available, and the casino was somewhat challenging. All of the games are grouped together in one area. You can isolate new games and jackpots but, whereas the full website has top-notch filtering, everything is combined on smartphones and tablets. It was surprising that the casino didn’t even separate out table games from slots and video poker. Fortunately, the mobile casino provides an option to pull up the regular website. You won’t then have the best mobile translation of the games, but you will have the ability to get to the promotions and to isolate some gaming possibilities.

Deposit Fees

This banking requirement came as another surprise to me. It’s extremely rare that a gambling site charge deposit fees unless it’s targeting Americans who don’t have much of choice in the matter. While there aren’t fees imposed for every option, bank transfers, Paysafecards, and Skrill will cost you 5% of your total deposit. Two free payouts per month are available, and then subsequent ones come with a €5 fee each.

Sportsbook

The ComeOn! sportsbook is one of the more conveniently laid out books that I’ve come across, especially for new and recreational punters regardless of being on the full site or mobile. Across the top link bar of the sports betting section you have access to live betting, today’s events, and also results. It’s rarer than you might think to have a site that gives you the results of your bets, so it’s nice to be able to find all of that here without having to go to the news or a sports site to get that information if you happen to miss watching your game.
The results section allows you to filter by sport, and what time the game or event was (last 24 hours, last 48 hours, last 4 days, or last 7 days). Along the right-hand side of all the pages in the sportsbook section, you can see live scores of popular games in progress. It’s nice to see an online sportsbook doing a little reporting instead of just taking bets and expecting you to go somewhere else for your results and updates. While most of you will be watching the games you’ve bet, it’s still a nice perk in case you get pulled away for something and have to miss the game.
With 30+ sports to choose from, you should have no problem getting action on your favorite game. They have all the major sports that you’d expect to see with a quality sportsbook and also some less popular sports like bandy, darts, sailing, and table tennis. We aren’t saying these sports aren’t popular (and awesome), we’re just saying it’s rare to see them on a sports betting site these days. Football matches, especially in England, offer more than 100 markets each and cover everything from Premier League, to Isthmian Premiere and Super League Women.
ComeOn! has a ton of specials bets for you to choose from that include politics, Christmas specials, and even the BBC Sports Personality of the Year. This book really gives you the ability to bet on anything that you want.
The minimum bet is just 40p, and this bookmaker does impose a £100,000 daily maximum win rule. So, if you’re a higher stakes bettor, grab your calculator and do the math first. That way you don’t lose out on anything above that mark.
The interface of the betting section is clean and easy to find the bets you are looking for. When you select a bet, it automatically pops over onto a slip on the right-hand side of the screen. From there, you can input your bet amount, and the program will automatically tell you how much you should expect to get back with a correct pick. You can type in your bet amount or click a plus or minus sign to jump up in convenient increments ($5, $10, $25, $50, $100, etc.). This is nice if you’re looking to get a quick bet in.
You can easily add multiple bets to your tickets to create parlays.
When you create a parlay with ComeOn! they give you some bonus odds that are a few more percentage points in your favor.
It looks like the more teams that you add to a parlay, the higher percentage bonus odds you will receive. This can be anywhere from 1% all the way up to 50% depending on your tickets. With three bets, we got an additional 5% in bonus odds for our bet.
One other feature that ComeOn! has that we feel should be industry standard but is not is the ability to switch all of the odds on the site between decimal, fractional, and American. This makes things easy for you in case you like to use a format over another. Some sportsbooks in today’s world still don’t have the ability for you to do this or force you to do it individually for each bet you’re making. Big props to ComeOn! for taking care of this one.
Overall, we were big fans of the sportsbook here. It was clean, well laid out, and had an enormous number of betting options to choose from. Their less popular sporting options and crazy specials bets were fantastic to see and not something that you’re going to get with just any book on the web. If you’re looking for a new sports betting home, this could be a slam dunk for you.

ComeOn Casino Game Selection

The casino offers over 2,000 games combined in the regular and live dealer areas. Just as with most sites, slots are the primary focus, and ComeOn! provides 1,000 different ones from which to select. If you’re an avid slot player, you’ll recognize most of the names but, there could be a few mixed in to surprise you.
What I liked most about this casino are the extended sorting features. The jackpot games are in one section, but you can also search per name or filer them by the software company or via game bundle like “high stakes” or “classics.”
Below every game, there’s also a highlighted feature to help you pick the best one for you. It’ll say if there are sticky wilds, win both ways, the amount of the multiplier, high paying, multiple jackpots, 3D graphics, etc. I think those designations not only help new players but the experienced ones as well, find a new game based on what they enjoy most about slot play.

ComeOn Mobile Casino

Just over 400 of the 558 total games are transferred over for playing on the go, but they can be challenging to locate. The mobile casino offers large, colorful graphics, but you have to comb through hundreds of gaming options to narrow down your choices.
PLEASE NOTE
Oddly enough, there isn’t a separate section for slots, table games, and video poker. They’re all combined. You can access the ten-game jackpot section, but everything else is a mish-mash.

ComeOn Sportsbook Promotions

Usually, I find that gaming sites emphasize promotions for casino players and leave sports bettors pretty much out in the cold. However, on this site, you’ll see more rewards for sports punters.
There’s a Free Bet Club as well as ever-changing offers that are posted on the main sportsbook page. Sports bettors are also included in the welcome bonus and limited time promotions. They also have enhanced odds specials to boost the value of the betting experience with comeon.com.

ComeOn Banking

When it comes to banking for ComeOn’s customers, there are plenty of options, especially for UK residents. What I was surprised to find, though, was a fee assessed to a few of the deposit methods. Paysafecard is one of them and it doesn’t make sense as to why any charge would be incurred. It’s a prepaid method so, essentially, the player is transferring in cash.
The minimums are low, though, so recreational players will be pleased. If you’re looking to deposit the highest amount, you’ll need to opt for a Neteller or Skrill transfer. I would recommend Neteller as it provides for a £8000 deposit and no fees are assessed.
There isn’t a bitcoin option, but Apple Pay is one of the accepted payments, and it’s not always easy to find a site that takes it.

Deposit Methods

Regardless of which financial option is selected, the funds should be immediately available to you in your betting account.
  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Maestro
  • Apple Pay
  • EntroPay
  • Online Bank Transfer By Skrill
  • Neteller
  • Skrill and Skrill 1-Tap
  • Paysafecard

Withdrawal Methods

Withdrawals are processed internally within 24 hours, which is relatively fast. I read through some player forums, and most people backed up that 24-hour window. However, the money will only be in your hands within that period if you opted for Neteller or Skrill as your deposit method.
Your payout uses the same system as for deposits and opting for these e-wallets eliminates a lengthy external processing.
Regarding fees for payouts, if you do a quick glance at the information table, you won’t see any listed. However, I did note that in a separate area comeon.com publicizes that only two free withdrawals are allowed for every 30 days. After that, there is a €5 charge for all subsequent cash outs.
  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • EntroPay
  • Bank Wire Transfer
  • Neteller
  • Skrill

Customer Service

The customer service department is reachable by live chat or email only. There isn’t a posted email address. You will need to use their prepared form if you don’t like the chat option.
As a tip, though, there are some great FAQs hidden in the help area. I searched to find these and came up empty until I clicked the tiny little green question mark on the right side of the screen that I thought would initiate a chat. Instead, I found a comprehensive help section tucked in there including all of the banking information that I previously couldn’t locate either.
So, your questions may be answered just by reviewing that information. But, if you do need to get one-on-one assistance, the service agents are known to be fast responding, courteous, and very helpful.

My Ranking For The Books

Recently read the whole series in lockdown (before I had only read one chapter of The Fall and The Sleepwalker as a child). I finished Shadow Wave today so I thought I’d rate the whole series! (spoilers for the whole series)
12- Shadow Wave
I think I actually hate this book! Compared to what James has done in his CHERUB career, I knew SW wasn’t going to be a extravaganza or anything but I found the whole plot boring. A good chunk of the book is spent in Kyle’s mind while he remembers what happened 4 years ago in Malaysia (keep in mind: Kyle is my favourite character so I loved his screen time but ugh the story. After all of the action is cleared up, James chooses to go to an American university (makes sense with the Brigands gunning for him back in the UK) and discovers his Dad (which was never mentioned in any capacity except from a one liner from Ron in The Recruit). I hate the reveal about his dad also- him just so happening to be a doctorate of maths (I’m presuming) who’s textbook is necessary for James’ course? Eugh. Sad to see the series end like this, so much potential and it got everything wrong. Rating- 3/10 I don’t ever see myself rereading Shadow Wave.
11- The Sleepwalker
(When I read this as a child I was traumatised at the description of Angus (Mac’s grandson) dying in a plane crash. I was actually scared to get on planes after that) However, rereading it, I forgot how utterly boring it is. Half of the book is spent on work experience at a dodgy chicken fast food restaurant and it takes until halfway through the book until the actual mission starts. The plot with Fahim is boring- he’s an unlikeable character but I like how he got to stay with Mac (cos Mac really didn’t deserve losing a whole chunk of his family) Rating- 3/10 it’s only better than Shadow Wave because it’s not Shadow Wave.
10- The General
The SAG story line should’ve been done in its entirety or not at all, I completely forgot about it until the epilogue. The war game was fun but seemed very short (just spike the water supply, getting semi tortured by female US soldiers). I really disliked the Karakov/James casino plot where they made 90k. I know it’s in line with James’ character but also (correct me if I’m wrong) but the 30k never really comes up again. Karakov and James are even (kinda) found out because of the newspaper Lauren shows at the end. Although I do appreciate Karakov’s ‘I hate the Yanks!’ Rating- 5/10 I would love to take part in a war game.
9- The Killing
The second half of the book drags which shouldn’t have happened! An investigation into police corruption would’ve been great- so why was it such a slog? Compared to James’ past three missions (Help Earth, KMG and Curtis Oxford) this was such a decline in excitement. I also personally don’t care at all for Dave Moss a character so that doesn’t help. The whole thing with Will being the only person who knew everything but had been killed a year earlier was a very interesting plot point. I did like the Tarasov’s characters though and Hannah is probably one of the best mission girls. I also liked how the epilogue was formatted with the Cops/Robbers subheadings. Rating- 5.5/10
8- Maximum Security
Before anyone starts, I believe James’ should’ve got his black shirt for his performance. While Max. Sec. isn’t really my favourite book, James went above and beyond in it. He managed to befriend Kurtis quickly and did so without Dave’s help (ugh he’s back). The in prison section and busting out section of Max. Sec. are really good!!! And then everything after is boring- the whole time you’re just waiting for Curtis to led everyone to Jane which is anti climactic (and just because James’ says that himself doesn’t mean it’s okay) The brief mention of Brigands M.C is good world building however. Rating- 6/10 It’s a fun mission at least
7- Brigands M.C.
Brigands M.C. has a lot of potential. Bikers, delving deep into another characters backstory, themes of family/revenge/vigilantism. And it was a fun book to read! However, the fact Dante was never mentioned before until Brigands M.C. makes this all for nothing. And this fact is swept under the rug of ‘oh Dante’s away on a 3 year mission in Ireland which we won’t go into either’. Kyle clearly knew him as did Miss Speaks. Even a passing remark like ‘Oh did you hear? Dante’s been on that mission for 2.5 years now- that means he’s on the second longest mission ever!’ would’ve really helped Brigands M.C’s case. Don’t get me started on the Dante’s black shirt thing. A clear violation of the t-shirt code if I’ve ever seen one, especially when Dante himself says yeah it’s okay I can’t get black shirt for this mission because I still have time. Rating- 6.5/10
6- The Recruit
There’s not a lot to say for The Recruit. It’s slow at the start but provides an excellent start to an excellent series. James’ first mission is exciting and shows the reader just how practical children are in espionage. The foreshadowing of Nicole Edison becoming an actual character for one book before she gets expelled is good too- showing that the 100 day training is tough and strict. James’ navy shirt is 100% deserved here- seeing as he got poisoned with anthrax for the mission. Rating- 7/10
5- The Fall
A very interesting take on the classic CHERUB format of ‘campus then mission then campus’. The Fall is corruption done right! And the brilliant world building of bleak, cold Mother Russia is great! It also raises the question- is there corruption within CHERUB? Is Ewart purposefully trying to get James expelled? Lauren’s mission shows her talent- personally I think she should’ve got her black t-shirt here instead of in Divine Madness as she saved countless girls from the trafficking industry (granted most of them did get booted back to Russia) but that’s out of Lauren’s control. Rating- 7.5/10
4- Divine Madness
Maybe it’s my bias towards cult related fiction but Divine Madness was a ride start to finish! The Hong Kong mission is amazingly set up and shows Help Earth’s sphere of influence! The idea of a cult having that much control in a community is scary but realistic. Also, again maybe I’m bias because I love Rat, but seeing as this is Rat’s introduction, I can’t help but love this book. I love how he became part of CHERUB! The only parts I wasn’t a fan of was Dana’s boat scene at the end but she did good and deserved her navy t-shirt (finally) and Lauren’s black t-shirt. She didn’t deserve it really, especially when she had already helped scout Rat to CHERUB. Just seemed unnecessary. Rating- 8/10 Such a fun read and Rat’s mischief goes a long way.
3- Class A
Class A is a very solid second book and has one of the best missions in it. KMG are all colourful characters (especially Junior Moore) and if James’ hadn’t earned his navy t-shirt in The Recruit, he would’ve gotten it here. (Personally I don’t think James getting his black shirt here would’ve been good thematically as he would’ve came off as a complete Mary Sue) Also, for a book written in the early 2000’s, Kyle being a gay character is huge. As a part of the LGBT community, Kyle is such good representation and he’s done right (as to is James’ development from being a homophobe). Nicole is alright (she shows you can bounce back from dropping out of training) but then is an idiot and does cocaine. Kerry and James’ get some good moments together, like when they torch that old car. Rating- 8.1/10 Ever so slightly better than Divine Madnesss
2- Mad Dogs
This is a very solid book. Starts off with high stakes with Gabrielle getting stabbed, showing the real danger agents put themselves through. Also Gabrielle and Michael were a cute couple and clearly cared about each other (up until the General at least). The return of Junior Moore is great until he goes on a rampage and disappears until the epilogue. Sasha is a great villain, smart and ruthless. It’s a shame the ending scene at the airport doesn’t turn out as planned but it shows that the ongoing turf war with gangs can never be truly stopped. Rating- 8.5/10
and finally 1- Man v Beast
Man v Beast is amazing. I’m vegan myself and am so fed up with the likes of PETA (fuck PETA) that I kinda fell in love with Ryan Quinn and what Zebra 84/AFM stood for (obviously not attacking the actual workers but rather targeting the actual animal testing corporation) The story was fun and compelling- the fact Kyle just got to like a guy without any hassle from James or the others was good. The tension was so high at the end, my heart practically dropped when I realised what the AFA were going to with that TV personality (easily one of the most tense moments in the series as Kyle has to take complete control of the situation. I don’t think he got his black shirt for this mission (I actually don’t remember when he got his black shirt) but it should’ve been for this mission. And the whole mission gave Lauren some development with her being veggie and saving Meatball. Rating- 9/10 Such a thrilling and exciting book
So, overall, that’s was my ramblings on the series. You can tell I preferred the first half of the series for sure ahahah.

40 Best Songs of All Times About Poker, Dice, Cards and Addiction

40. Go Down Gamblin’ - Blood Sweat and Tears

Released in 1971, Go Down Gamblin’ by Blood Sweat and Tears is a song describing a gambler who is “born a natural loser.” He never wins, no matter what game he plays, but, he doesn’t feel like a loser. As the song goes – “Cause I've been called a natural lover by that lady over there, Honey, I'm just a natural gambler but I try to do my share.”

39. Gambler - Madonna

Gambler is a song written and played by Madonna, made for the film Vision Quest. Although the song reached the top 10 in the charts of the UK, Australia, Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands, and Norway, Madonna performed it only once on her 1985 The Virgin Tour. It’s a catchy song, we suggest you play it as you spin the reels of some of your favourite retro online slots.

38. The House of the Rising Sun - The Animals

Our list wouldn’t be complete without the 1964 hit song - The House of the Rising Sun by The Animals. Everybody knows the famous lines ”My mother, she was a tailor, sewed these new blue jeans, my father was a gamblin' man way down in New Orleans.” This single had a major success and made it to the top 10 songs on mainstream rock radio stations in the USA. Likewise, the hit was featured in the video game Guitar Hero Live.

37. The Winner Takes It All - ABBA

Whether we admit it or not, we all love at least some songs played by the very well-known Swedish pop group, ABBA. According to some sources, Bjorn Ulvaeus wrote the 1980 hit song The Winner Takes It All which was inspired by his divorce to his fellow band member, Agnetha Fältskog. The winner takes it all is a sort of a comparison to a divorce (especially the part ”I've played all my cards and that's what you've done too, nothing more to say, no more ace to play”), where one of them is the winner and the other one is left with nothing. And things are just the same when it comes to gambling, so we’ve decided to put the song on our list.

36. Shape of my Heart - Sting

We’re all aware of the fact that our gambling behaviour can be influenced by certain types of music and that's because online gambling and music go hand in hand. So, we suggest you start playing your preferred games with one of everyone’s favourite songs by Sting called The Shape of my Heart. It was released in 1993 and used for the end credits of the film Léon. In one of his interviews, Sting explained that the lyrics of the song tell the story of a card player who places bets not in order to win but to figure out something that’s been bothering him - “some kind of scientific, almost religious law.”

35. All I Wanna Do Is Play Cards - Corb Lund

Well, I guess I really oughta be makin up songs but all I wanna do is play cards. I know it's dumb and sick and wrong but all I wanna do is play cards. Got the studio booked in Tennessee, and my record producer's callin me, the tape will roll in just three weeks and all I wanna do is play cards.” Does it sound familiar? It’s a 2005 hit by Corb Lund called All I Wanna Do Is Play Cards, once you hear it you’ll be playing it on repeat.

34. Gambling Man - The Overtones

When you’re falling in love, it’s perfectly normal to feel like you want to gamble everything just to attract that person’s attention to notice you and love you back. Well, Gambling Man is a lively 2010 song that tells a story of a guy fascinated with his love, so he places all his bets on her, as the song goes - “I played my hand, I rolled the dice, now I'm paying for my sins, I got some bad addiction.” This time, he feels that this love affair is different from any other – “Baby, it's you, yeah, yeah, that's right.” The song was released in 2010 and has been popular ever since.

33. Poker Face - Lady Gaga

Although the Poker Face song is more about the game of romance rather than the game of poker, the catchy refrain that starts with “Can't read my, no he can't read my poker face” kinda reminds us of winning at the tables, so we couldn’t skip it this time. Released in 2008, the song achieved worldwide success, topping the charts in the USA, the UK, Australia, Canada and several European countries.

32. Little Queen of Spades - Robert Johnson

Moving on to the Little Queen of Spades, a song title by the American blues musician Robert Johnson who recorded the song in 1937 and first released it in 1938. The first version of this gambling-themed song has a playing time of 2:11, whereas the second one lasts 4s longer (2:15), and is considered an alternate take and first appeared on Johnson's album The Complete Recordings, in 1990.

31. Train of Consequences - Megadeth

Another great song Train of Consequences is the title created by Megadeth, released as the first single from their sixth studio album Youthanasia in 1994. The song was later included on their compilation albums and its music video was the 26th most played video on MTV. There’s this part of the song “No horse ever ran as fast as the money that you bet, I'm blowing on my cards and I play them to my chest” – which is about a person’s gambling problem, who realises something’s wrong with this lifestyle, but it still hunts him down. Could be just the thrill, but he just can’t stop playing.

30. Gambler - Whitesnake

Released on the album Slide It In (1984) and appearing on the compilation album Gold (2006), Gambler is the song by the British hard rock band Whitesnake. These words may sound familiar - “No fame or fortune, no luck of the draw, when I dance with the Queen of Hearts, a jack of all trades, a loser in love, it's tearing my soul apart”. And in case you’ve never heard it, we think you should give it a shot, the chances are you’re going to love it!

29. Gambling Man - Woody Guthrie

Now here’s one single from 1957 - Gamblin' Man. The song was taped live at the London Palladium and published as a double A side, with Puttin' On the Style. Reaching #1 in the UK Singles Chart in the summer 1957, it was “the last UK number 1 to be released on 78 rpm format only, as 7' vinyl had become the norm by this time.” Written by Woody Guthrie and Donegan, this gambling themed song was produced by Alan Freeman and Michael Barclay.

28. Roll of the Dice - Bruce Springsteen

According to Songfacts, Roll of the Dice was the first Springsteen’s song he didn’t write by himself. In fact, E Street Band’s pianist Roy Bittan helped with the music, while Springsteen was in charge of the lyrics, starting with – “Well I've been a losin' gambler, just throwin' snake eyes, Love ain't got me downhearted. I know up around the corner lies, My fool's paradise in just another roll of the dice.” After he broke up the E Street Band in October 1989, Springsteen wrote lyrics for the Roll of the Dice (with two other songs) and liked them to the point where he began writing and recording more songs.

27. Queen of Diamonds - Tom Odell

Here’s one song about a gambling fanatic who’s trying to satisfy his own addiction but also someone else, hoping it’s going to save him. Released in 2018, Queen of Diamonds is Tom Odell’s song from the album Jubilee Road, based on the local characters that inspired this British songwriter to include the whisky-soaked gamblers who regularly visited one betting shop.

26. The Angel and the Gambler - Iron Maiden

Now, this song may divide Iron Maiden fans and it’s most probably because of its repetitive lyrics that can be a bit annoying. The release we’re talking about is The Angel and the Gambler. Truth be told, the melody in general is very catchy and, even a bit similar to The Who in some moments. As the song was released in 1998 while Blaze Bayley was its frontmen, it’s missing the well-known high-pitch vocals from Bruce Dickinson.

25. Ramblin' Gamblin Man - Bob Seger

We’re moving on to a rock single from 1978 - Ramblin' Gamblin Man by Bob Seger. The author meets an old acquaintance, a professional gambler who happens to be a swagger. As such, he attracts people’s attention whenever he bets. Putting so much of his faith in the cards (rather than in people), he walks away every time, just before avoiding loss. Along the way, the narrator realises that, if you scratch beneath the surface, you’ll find he’s a very cynical man, who will never change.
Another gambling-themed song worth mentioning by Bob Seger is Still The Same.

24. Blow Up The Pokies - The Whitlams

Blow up the Pokies is the next song on our list, played by The Whitlams. It is the second single by the group from their 4th studio album, Love This City. Released in the year 2000, the song became a hit and made it to number 21 on the ARIA Singles Chart. According to several resources, the lyrics written by singer Tim Freedman were inspired by the destruction he saw in original Whitlams bassist Andy Lewis's life, due to his gambling addiction.

23. A Good Run of Bad Luck - Clint Black

Now here’s one 1994-song packed with gambling-related terms. As you listen to A Good Run of Bad Luck, recorded by American music artist Clint Black, you'll have a bit of fun as you try identifying what all these gambling terms mean. The song is a bit fast and is about falling in love by using gambling metaphors. The main character is willing to spend a lot of money to win his special lady over and, although he has had a period of bad luck, he is not giving up – “I've been to the table, and I've lost it all before, I'm willin' and able, always comin' back for more.

22. When You’re Hot, You’re Hot - Jerry Reed

Jerry Reed won a Grammy for the song When You’re Hot, You’re Hot which was released in 1971. Most people remember it as it was a major hit, ranked as number 1 in the country charts, also making its way up the Pop Top 40. It’s an enjoyable novelty song about the ups and downs of the gambling life, about one’s winning streak caught in an illegal game of Crap.
Country star Jerry Reed also came up with a version The Uptown Poker Club in 1973.

21. Lawyers, Guns and Money - Warren Zevon

Next one up - Lawyers, Guns and Money is a song by Warren Zevon, the closing track on his album Excitable Boy, released in 1978. An edited version of this song was distributed as a single and found itself on the A Quiet Normal Life best of compilation on the CD and LP. The song goes like this - “I went home with a waitress the way I always do, how was I to know she was with the russians, too? I was gambling in Havana, I took a little risk Send lawyers, guns, and money Dad, get me out of this, hiyah!

20. The Lottery Song - Harry Nilsson

According to the man in the 1972 pop-rock song The Lottery Song by Harry Nilsson, there's more than one way to get to Vegas. Addressing his lover, the narrator mentions a few different options for buying a ticket and going to Sin City – “We could win the lottery we could go to Vegas,” and “We could wait till summer, we could save our money” as well as “We could make a record, sell a lot of copies, we could play Las Vegas.”

19. Casino Queen - Wilco

Now here’s one black-humoured gambling-themed song, released in 1995 and titled after a casino. Featuring a dirty electric guitar, Casino Queen was composed by an American songwriter, Jeff Tweedy, who wrote this song after playing a game in a riverboat casino accompanied by his dad. Inspired by the event, the author wrote: “Casino Queen my lord you're mean, I've been gambling like a fiend on your tables so green.

18. Have a Lucky Day - Morphine

Another song on our list that you simply must check out starts like this: “I feel lucky, I just feel that way, I'm on a bus to Atlantic City later on today. Now I'm sitting at a blackjack table and swear to God the dealer has a tag says, "Mabel." Hit me, hit me! I smile at Mabel, soon they're bringing complimentary drinks to the table.” Check it out yourself - it’s called Have a Lucky Day by Morphine.

17. Kentucky Gambler - Merle Haggard

Written by Dolly Parton and released in 1974, Merle Haggard’s Kentucky Gambler is another song on our ultimate gambling playlist that you should pay attention to. It’s about a miner from Kentucky who leaves his family to gamble, under the bright lights of Reno. Unsurprisingly, his winning streak comes to an end, and he loses all his winnings. All broke, he decided to return back home only when he arrived, he found out his wife was involved with someone else.

16. The Jack - AC/DC

The next song on our list will give you some adrenaline boost, for sure. It goes like this - “She gave me the queen, she gave me the king, she was wheelin' and dealin', just doin' her thing, she was holdin' a pair, but I had to try…” Sounds familiar? This song from the 1975s is called The Jack and is played by AC/DC and there’s no way you can skip it.

15. Blackjack - Ray Charles

Moving on to something a bit different - a melody that blackjack lovers can listen to as they play is Ray Charles’ Blackjack. Apart from being a good quality song from 1955, it carries an important message with an emphasis on how brutal the game of blackjack can be. Some sources say that Ray Charles wrote it after beating T-Bone Walker at a blackjack game session.
Yet another Ray Charles’ famous song about gambling is called a Losing Hand.

14. Ooh Las Vegas - Gram Parson

Ooh, Las Vegas, ain't no place for a poor boy like me”... is a song-into for Ooh Las Vegas which was written by Gram Parsons and Ric Grech. It was first released by Gram Parsons with Emmylou Harris in 1974. Playing this song would be perfect for the beginning of the road trip (i.e. to Las Vegas), especially if you have the energy to sing along.

13. The Stranger - Leonard Cohen

Published in 1968 and performed by Leonard Cohen, The Stranger appears in the The Ernie Game movie about a man released from a mental asylum. More appropriately, it is the perfect opening song in the 1971 Western McCabe & Mrs Miller, in which Warren Beatty plays a gambler. As you listen to this song (without watching the movie), it makes you see fascinating images of card games, smoky dreams, and concepts of risk versus safety.

12. Desperado - Eagles

Written by Glen Frey and Don Henley, Desperado song is one of The Eagles’ greatest hits from their 1973 album of the same name. The song features a classic tune while the ballad tells the story of a lone wolf imprisoned by his loneliness. As for the lyrics, they have loads of card references mentioning the queen of diamonds, the queen of hearts, and so on.

11. Huck's Tune - Bob Dylan

The next song on our list is about the risks of poker, money, and relationships, which are precisely what the movie Lucky You is all about. Does it ring a bell? That’s right, this 2007 song is called Huck’s Tune and is performed by Bob Dylan. Each of us can all relate to lines "You push it all in, and you've no chance to win, you play 'em on down to the end." Play the song and you’ll enjoy more than 4 amazing minutes of Bob Dylan.
Likewise, Bob Dylan recorded Rambling, Gambling Willie and Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts, both excellent and both inspired by gambling.

10. Four Little Diamonds - Electric Light Orchestra

A song by the British rock band Electric Light Orchestra Four Little Diamonds was released in 1983 and found itself on the album Secret Messages. The single wasn’t so popular in the US, being only 2 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, at number 86, and number 84 in the UK. This song refers to the singer’s cheating lover who tricked him out of a ring which had 'four little diamonds' on it.

9. You Can't Beat The House - Mark Knopfler

Moving on to our next choice for the day, You Can’t Beat the House. It’s the third song on the Get Lucky studio album released in 2009 by British singer-songwriter and guitarist Mark Knopfler. The album and the songs received favorable reviews with the album reaching the top three positions on album charts in Denmark, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, and Poland. The singer’s divine voice combined with beautiful music and lyrics goes like this – “You can't bear the house, you can't bear the house, tell the man somebody, you can't beat the house.

8. Deck of Cards - Don Williams

Deck of Cards is a recitation song that tells the story of a soldier who gets caught while playing cards in church and then faces a sentence from a superior officer. The soldier defends his case, explaining he wasn't about to deal a hand of poker, but was rather confirming his faith with the cards. Performed by T. Texas Tyler, the song managed to become a major hit in the 1940s and 1950s. Also, Wink Martindale had an even bigger hit with his 1959 cover, with a successful version by Don Williams featuring Tex Ritter and Buddy Cole.

7. Gambler’s Blues - B.B. King

First recording of the song Gambler’s Blues by B.B. King was in 1966, and it was released in 1967. The song appears on the album Back in the Alley (1970). Some say gambling and blues go hand in hand, so if you (gambling fans) haven’t heard it, listen and see for yourself.

6. Tumbling Dice - Rolling Stones

One of our favourite songs on the list is Tumbling Dice, written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. It tells the story of a gambler who can’t remain faithful to any woman. Being released in the 1970s and featuring a blues boogie-woogie rhythm, the song was and still is one of the greatest singles of all time.
Rolling Stones also recorded Casino Boogie, and it’s from their 1972 album, Exile on Main St.

5. Luck Be A Lady - Frank Sinatra

The next song on our list is about a gambler who hopes that he will win a bet, the outcome of which will decide whether he is able to save his relationship with the girl of his dreams. You probably know what song we’re talking about; it’s called Luck be a Lady released in 1965 and performed by one of the most popular musical artists - Frank Sinatra.

4. Deal - Grateful Dead

Next one up is the song Deal. It was first performed by the Grateful Dead in 1971, as a regular part of the repertoire through their 1970's tour. Although being less common to the fans during the 1990s, the band continued to perform it. The singer opens with the message: “Since it cost a lot to win and even more to lose you and me bound to spend some time wondering what to choose,” that later kicks off with a chorus: “Don't let your deal go down...
Loser is another song first performed by the Grateful Dead in 1971 as well, heavily played during 1971 and 1972.

3. Ace of Spades - Motörhead

Ok, the next song is loaded with some great gambling verses like "The pleasure is to play, makes no difference what you say, I don't share your greed, the only card I need is the Ace of Spades" will definitely set you in the right mood for hitting some winning combinations. Released in 1980, the song was inspired by slot machines that the lead singer Ian Fraser “Lemmy” Kilmister played in London pubs.

2. Viva Las Vegas - Elvis

As soon as you start playing the second song from our playlist “Viva Las Vegas,” you’ll probably picture a huge casino and a great gaming atmosphere. Performed by the legendary Elvis Presley, the 1964-released song brings the glamour of the city, and its beat will get you in the mood for some serious gameplay. This song was written for the movie of the same name starring Elvis Presley, in which he plays a race car driver waiting tables at a hotel to pay off a debt. There’s this famous scene when he performs this song at the talent competition alongside many showgirls.

1. The Gambler - Kenny Rogers

Performed by the legendary country singer Kenny Rogers, The Gambler song is our number 1 - it's full of some betting advice that are relevant today, even though it was released more than 40 years ago, in 1978. Here’s how it goes… “If you're gonna play the game, boy you gotta learn to play it right, you've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, and know when to run.” These classic chorus lines were told from the first-person perspective inspired by a conversation the author had with an experienced poker player on a train. Written in the form of poker metaphors, Schlitz wrote the tune in honor of his late father.
Johnny Cash is also among other musicians who recorded The Gambler in 1978, on Gone Girl.

What do you think? Which one is your favourite?

I Used To Be A Stagecoach Driver, And Now I'm Not: I'm An Independent Contractor [Part 25]

Part 24

Some days, I really think we're going to come out on top of this thing.
This was one of those days.
My day actually started last night. I got home from fireworks and couldn't settle down—not after a shower, a cup of chamomile, prep for jambalaya, and even a Benadryl, which I swear left me even more awake than I was before.
Finally I grabbed Storkie and Leah's car keys and drove over to the apartment. I was going to let myself in and hopefully nap on the sofa, but I'd barely settled in under the lap blanket Dale keeps on the sofa before he wandered into the living room in the direction of the bathroom, and on his way back he spotted me.
“Nate?”
“Couldn't sleep.”
“And you're on the sofa because . . . . ?”
“I didn't want to wake you.”
Dale made this kind of noise at me that was like the audio equivalent of rolling his eyes. Then he bent down and scooped me off the sofa, which is one of the things I actually really love about being small.
He settled me into bed, tucked Storkie under my arm and then crawled in next to me and put his arms around me. “What's on your mind?”
“Leah. Wondering if things are going to change now the main season's over. Wondering how much time I've got left. I think at this point I'm looking in the wrong place entirely and I've been wasting time all summer. I got distracted by a wild goose chase.”
“Goose chase, or information you don't know how to use yet?”
“What do you mean?”
“Park's been around for almost 150 years. I don't know any more about this than you do, but it wouldn't surprise me if the answer is tangled up with the history.” He kissed my forehead. “There's nothing you can do at . . . whatever the hell hour it is. Late. Get some sleep. We'll put our heads together in the morning and see what we can come up with.”
Either I'm the most pathetic person on the face of the planet, or I'm more exhausted than I know I am, because I'm pretty sure there was another sentence after that but I was out already.
Dale was as good as his word, because when I woke up his side of the bed was mostly cold but I could smell coffee and a stumble into the breakfast nook showed me both his notes and mine stacked up next to each other with my glasses on top. Dale was trying very hard to make toast. I don't know how he does it, I'll set the toaster to make toast perfectly, he'll throw in some bread, touch nothing, and what he gets out will either be untoasted or charcoal.
I used to tease him and say he was cursed, but it's not so funny anymore.
Apparently he's made at least somewhat of a truce with the toaster, too, because when he set a plate of toast next to the coffee carafe on the table it was dark but not inedible. Nothing I couldn't cover up with jelly, anyway.

If he noticed I waited for him to drink his coffee before I took mine, he didn't say so.
He settled in across from me, and we ate our toast and coffee in the kind of quiet that builds up when you're not really awake enough for conversation yet. Dale finished his second cup of coffee, sighed, and sat back before reaching out and taking his notebook.
“I've needed to show you this for a couple of weeks,” he said. “I didn't want to. Felt like if you didn't know what was in here, I'd be able to protect you. But it's the other way around. The less you know, the more danger you're in. I learned that the way-too-fucking-hard way.”
“What is it?”
“The contract is in it.”
“The original one?”
“And the amended one.” I stared at the little notebook. “I didn't know spiral notebooks existed 150 years ago.”
“Funny. No, this is mine. I'm sure other managers have had their own. I know my dad had a binder instead.”
“So that's it. The heart of the whole thing?”
“So, uh.” Dale sighed the kind of sigh you hear when somebody's about to explain something they really don't want to and aren't quite sure how to, like how they happened to cheat on you or where all the missing money is or what, exactly, is in a notebook about making deals with evil fairies. He tapped the first page. “A lot of this stuff is probably totally irrelevant to what you want. Park balances, stuff like that. A lot of the things we'd consider relevant to the contract were either vague or never explained. Like how often sacrifices have to be made or what the criteria are for selection. That'd be useful to know, but nobody ever explained. We've put together a little information based on what we've seen, but we're more or less in the dark.”
“Did they ever explain what sacrifices had to be?”
Dale stopped between sentences and stared up at me. “What . . . ?”
“There isn't a whole lot out there on fae in America, but what I've found from Ireland and Germany says you can do things like leaving bread and cream on the doorstep. I've done it a couple times in the park when I thought I might be trespassing and I'm pretty sure it actually worked. Do sacrifices have to be living beings? Or was that a certain somebody's invention?”
I've surprised Dale before. Multiple times, in multiple ways, even.
This was the first time I left him so speechless he just sat there with his mouth hanging open.
“I'm just saying, I'm wondering how many problems we'd solve by taking some fruit to the underground entrance a few times a week. Has anybody ever, you know, tested this stuff?”
I took his continued gapemouthed silence as a no. Then I wrote his answer, or lack of it, down in my own notes.
“Probably not going to help with Leah, but it's good to know.” I took his notebook again and flipped through some of the numbers. At last I reached actual words, and Dale took it back from me. Or laid it down on the table between us, at least.
The contract, as it was originally written, was maddeningly vague. Three guardians of the property, rendered voiceless, “occasional” sacrifices, and the phrase Leah mentioned in her blog: we who now take ownership of this land are aware of and willing to pay the price. Something about it bothered me, and I wrote it down. I need to show it to someone. I'm not entirely sure who, but I know I know somebody who can explain what's wrong with that statement, and I'm pretty sure everything hangs off it.
The major amendment to the contract wouldn't be any help to Leah, because it was made after her turning, but it's still a start: sacrifices to come only from within “the owners.” Which I guess means I'm still in danger, but if there's one thing I've figured out from reading fairy tales and old folklore all summer, it's that words-lawyering is basically an Olympic sport for the fae. I'm going to have to get good at it, and fast, but it's still something that might be in my favor.
I didn't share any of this with Leah. Not yet. It's good information, but I don't know yet what I'm supposed to do with it, and I don't want to do that to her. So instead when we went in today I took her food and demanded the right to watch Casino Royale with her, because, I told her, she wasn't allowed to introduce me to blonde James Bond and then not follow through.
I really hope it's enough to go on. I've got to figure out what's up with that sentence. I know the answer is there.

Online gambling legislation and regulation. Starting your own gambling product.

Online gambling legislation and regulation. Starting your own gambling product.

Mobile gambling
If you plan to develop an app with the ability to deposit and withdraw real money, then such a product automatically falls into the category of gambling and you will need to license your business for successful operation.
Mobile and Web Based Apps
So let’s talk about the different kinds of online gambling apps available on web and mobile. We’ll be covering both free-play gaming apps and real money casino app games you can find for iOS, Android devices and web browsers.
Mobile gambling is more common for poker, casino, bingo, and skill games. They have advantages in terms of a low barrier to enter the market, instant liquidity, product knowledge, and marketing expertise, minimal infrastructure costs, and the ability to bring a brand to the market quickly. Consequently, this form of gambling does not sit neatly with jurisdictional boundaries. Multiple gambling opportunities are available, including betting on various events and markets, in a relatively simple format. Gambling products can also be integrated into betting on television shows or virtual racing and sports games as well as offering lotteries, bingo, poker and casino games.
Most Popular Gambling Apps
Sports betting, casino, poker and lotteries are the most popular forms of online gambling. However, other forms are available too. These include the following: Bingo, slot machines, different card games, roulette and other game of chance. One of the best things about online gambling and betting apps is the number of choices you have.

Sports Betting

Betting means making or accepting a bet on the outcome of a race, competition, or other event or process, the likelihood of anything occurring or not occurring, or whether anything is or is not true. Today most sports betting is done via mobile-friendly sites and apps.
Today most sports betting is done via mobile-friendly sites and apps.
The introduction of live betting for sports like soccer and tennis means that bettors who are sitting inside stadiums watching games can now pick up their mobile devices and find real-time betting value with the best sports gambling apps. This has really unlocked a door to the future of sports gambling and the popularity of online gambling apps.

Poker

Many sites offer free poker, where no real money is wagered, although in some cases players can accumulate credits that can be exchanged for prizes. This is the case why people are going to play for real money. There is an ongoing debate over whether poker should be classified as a game of chance or skill. The parameters of legal poker playing are still unclear and differ between jurisdictions. Since you are not gambling with money, I’m pretty sure under the law it’s just a video game for now.

Blackjack

Blackjack is the game of choice to many high-rollers and do you know why? Because blackjack is a challenging, logic and skill-based game where your thinking, strategy, and calculations determine the outcome of the game.

Bingo

Bingo is one of the most popular and socially accepted games in the world. Bingo is a traditional form of gambling that has seen considerable innovation in recent years. It is also the only form of gambling recognized in the Gambling Act that does not have a specific statutory definition, the Act providing simply that “bingo” means “any version of that game, irrespective of by what name it is described”. Bingo must be played as an equal chance game. For game to be classed as “bingo” it must meet the Act’s definition of “equal chance gaming” (as opposed to casino gaming). Thus, it: must not involve playing or staking against a bank, and must be a game in which the chances are equally favorable to all participants in the sense that each ticket or chance has the same probability of success as any other.
Licensed bingo is a well-regulated and socially responsible form of gambling that takes place in a safe environment. Many sites offer multiple forms of bingo with different features, types of games, and costs of play. These sites often cater specifically for women and some research suggests that they may appeal to markets who would not typically engage in traditional forms of gambling.

Slots

Slot machine is one of the most beloved game among the gambling community and it has been a part of the industry for a long time. They provide fun and entertainment and their simplicity allows gamers to start playing at once. This can play out in different ways depending on the machine you’re playing. For instance, there’s Pick a Fortune, a five-reel, 20 line game that puts players right in the studio of a television game show, including the potential to play a Deal or No Deal-style bonus round. A super trend over the past few years is mobile-friendly slot games. These apps and websites were developed to enable players to enjoy their favorite games on their smartphones at any time. Another dominant slot trend is licensed branded slots that are based on popular movies, television, and musicians.
Virtual Money vs Real Money
Let’s find out the difference between social gambling and real money gambling, as well as the differences between gambling through apps and gambling through a web browser. It can be quite confusing trawling through all the casinos, slots, and lotteries available, both through your mobile web browser as well as through mobile app stores, in the form of downloadable apps.

Virtual money

The main difference between virtual money and real money gambling is that the in-game virtual currency in social games and gambling-type games is used only like credits that are not paid out as winnings or anything given to player in cash, making these games exempt from gambling regulations.
Virtual money is loaded on user game accounts via in-app purchases in mobile applications or the game balance funding from a card via web based applications.

Real money gambling

Real money gambling via your mobile device is only allowed in countries where laws have been passed that allow for this type of gambling online, or there are no laws in place that prevent it. The payment systems are the legal way of services payment in the gambling app, performing as the intermediary between the gambling facility and the client. With their help, users replenish deposits and withdraw funds to personal accounts in financial institutions. If the application uses the payment system of a well-known brand, that gives players additional confidence in the resource. Nowadays, there is a wide range of payment systems, some of which operate all over the world, other systems are oriented towards the citizens of one or several countries. A number of services accept money of different world currencies, while others allow currency transactions of one state only.
What is an Online Gambling Licensing
The internet has a global audience, there’s no single piece of legislation that covers the legality of online gambling for the entire world. Mobile gambling doesn’t typically accept customers from every single country in the world. It often focuses on certain specific regions.
Instead, most countries have their own local laws that deal with the relevant legal and regulatory issues.
Ultimately, questions of legality all go back to the location of the casino or where the website operates out of. In closed regulatory systems, such as Italy, France, and the Netherlands, licenses, and advertising rights are limited to domestic providers, which must be located within their country’s geographical boundaries and these are only permitted to offer some types of products. Some jurisdictions, for example, Norway, Sweden, and Canada legalize and regulate online gambling, but this is limited to a single site that is owned by the government. Under such an approach, the government becomes the operator and regulator and all revenues are returned to the government.
Remote gambling is generally permitted. That means that an operator that is licensed may provide gambling services to citizens in the country via all forms of remote communication (and using equipment that may be located in the country or abroad). Equally, a remote operator may be licensed to offer gambling services to citizens in any jurisdiction in the world using equipment located in the country. The law provides that, for each type of gambling (betting, gaming, and participating in a lottery), there will be two forms of license available: remote and non-remote forms (land-based). If you provide facilities for remote gambling, online or through other means, and advertise to consumers you will need a license from the licensing jurisdictions or local licensing authorities. Before an online gambling site signs up its first customer, before it accepts its first bet before the first card is dealt, it must be licensed by a recognized governmental entity.
Certain regions in the world have specific legislation in place that allows them to license and regulate companies that operate online gambling sites or provide industry services (such as the supply of gaming software). These regions are referred to as online gambling jurisdictions or licensing jurisdictions.
Depending on what type of entertainment you are going to implement in your internet establishment, you will have to apply for the corresponding permissions. Online gambling laws in Europe vary from one country to the next. The industry is well regulated in some countries and less so in others. There are several online gambling jurisdictions located in Europe. Some of these are members of the European Union (EU), and thus subject to the various rules and regulations of that body, while others are independent. Each of these jurisdictions has an authority that’s responsible for approving gambling sites for licenses that enable them to offer their services legally. They also regulate their licensees.
Countries that Provide Gambling Licensing
Today there are lots of licensing jurisdictions located all over the world and offering different terms for their customers. Depending on the country, licenses can be local, international (distributed in several countries), have a different set of documents for registration, costs of registration and further support, various operating conditions and other special details.

Which gambling license is both internationally recognized?

The government of Ireland offers casino operators, software, and service providers in the gambling industry, with a gambling license that allows gambling operators to conduct business related to casino, lotto, and other gaming-related activities. Ireland Gambling License is one of the most popular license for online casinos worldwide. Ireland has long been recognized as one of the preferred locations for Online Gambling operators to base their operations. This success has been due to a combination of factors, such as a progressive legislative system, political stability, first-rate telecommunications facilities, and a well established financial services industry. A wide range of gambling sites operates out of Ireland including sports betting, casino sites, poker, bingo, and more.
In stark contrast, the UK is the largest regulated market for online gambling in the world, and corporations are already comfortable exploiting the intersections of gambling and gaming, betting in-play, social gaming, Bitcoin, financial trading and spread betting, betting exchanges, e-sports and, most profitably, mobile gambling. 40% and 60% of online gambling in the UK took place in Gibraltar.

International licensing

Europe is home to the following online gambling jurisdictions: Alderney, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Malta. Malta is currently the country that is most accommodating to gambling companies, and the license offers whitelisted online gambling in sports and casino games in many European territories. But takes an extreme amount of time in paperwork and background checks. Also, you pay 5% of all your gross profit to the EU.
Among countries offering gambling licensing services, the attention should be paid to Curaçao jurisdiction, which is considered to be one of the most promising for the online gaming business.
Curaçao Internet Gaming Association (also known as Curaçao eGaming) is both a regulator and a licensor, and its licensing works worldwide except Curaçao itself, USA, France and Netherlands. Using Curacao as an example, let us examine in detail the process of obtaining a license, the necessary documents and expenses.
How to get a License on Curaçao
  • Documents necessary for company registration:
  • criminal record;
  • passport scans;
  • bank account confirmation;
  • documents proving payments for utility services.
After the company is registered, an operator can apply for the license providing the following documents:
  • a document certifying the right of domain possession;
  • description of games planned to be used in the project;
  • a list indicating countries of potential operation;
  • illustration of server locations to be used in the project;
  • a copy of the agreement with a software provider.
Gambling license cost:
  • Bank account opening $1000
  • Company registration $3600
  • Company management per year $3600
  • Application processing fee $1000
  • License fee per year $4800
  • Equipment/software fee starting from $1500
  • Server maintenance per year $6000
Apart from that pay for technical support and maintenance every year. The entire license issuing process takes between 2-4 weeks. Curacao Internet Gaming Association (CIGA) also has the power to review a license and, if it finds that an operator has breached a license condition, has the power to impose a range of sanctions including revocation of the license.
Apple and Google Gambling Rules
You’ll be surprised at the limited number of real money gambling app options available on the AppStore and Google Play Store. Most real money casino gaming is done through gambler’s mobile web browsers and not through mobile gambling apps that you’ll find for iPhone and Android phones. Apple allows online gambling applications in a few forms, and not just in places where it is explicitly permitted. They do not allow any payments through the applications – those have to be done on the websites. Apple has far stricter developer guidelines for iOS apps than Google does for Android apps, so it’s fine to assume that whatever you choose to download from iTunes is usually safe, secure, and meets a certain standard.
Any real money casino in the iTunes app is required to have proper licensing and permissions before Apple will approve the app for use or downloads. While Google Play is technically regulated, it is much more loose in what can be hosted.

Apple Store

Gambling, gaming, and lotteries can be tricky to manage and tend to be one of the most-regulated offerings on the App Store. Apple has rules for apps that support real money wagering, including sports betting and poker. Those apps and lotteries must have necessary licensing and permissions in the locations where the App is used, must be geo-restricted to those locations, and must be free on the App Store, and Apple rate even simulated gambling apps as appropriate only for users 17-years-old and up.

Play Store

Google keeps the reigns tight. To be able to successfully upload apps to the Google Play store, developers need to have a valid license for the specific countries they are targeting and comply with their regulations. The app must be free to download and must prevent under-age users from gambling in the app. As a final precaution, all gambling apps are required to display prominent information regarding responsible gambling practices. This brings its policy in line with the Apple App Store.
Countries where gambling is illegal
It is also important to remember that while gambling is growing rapidly in many places, in others it is totally or partially prohibited. As well as in the majority of the US, sports betting is illegal in India, Pakistan, and China, three of the largest gambling markets in the world. Most countries have rules against gambling. Almost all Islamic countries prohibit gambling of every kind, but many turn a blind eye to online gambling or simply do not have regulations in place for this grey area.
In the United Arab Emirates, however, any kind of gambling is prosecuted. National lotteries are the only legal forms of wagering on the Asian country’s mainland. Cambodia, North Korea strictly forbids online and offline gambling amongst its own citizens but allows tourists to participate in these activities.
Qatar is the strictest country of all when it comes to gambling laws. All forms of gambling activities are considered illegal, and even sports betting is not permissible.
Starting your own gambling product
Numerous online casino platforms in the market offer fantastic casino games like bingo, poker, roulette, and many more.
If you have an idea, but don’t know where to start, we advise you begin with a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) to pilot your proof of concept for investors. MVP spotlights your core features and lets your investors know there are bigger and better things to come.
For MVP you do not need a large team, just a few people are enough to create a fully functioning prototype. In the case of successful numbers of your prototype, the further development of a full-fledged product will require more team, resources and time, however you will be sure that your development and your costs will pay off.

AmunRa Casino Review

Amun Ra Casino has been created with Ancient Egypt in mind. It is filled with references to pyramids and statues from the area. This gives it an outstanding brand that is unmistakable. And because people have often associated Ancient Egypt with hidden treasures, it turns out to be the perfect choice for a theme.
Despite only being launched in April 2020, they already have a beautifully designed website that far surpasses the quality of its rivals. Everything is bright, glossy, and smooth. You can navigate to all of the sections on the website without any problems whatsoever. No glitches or errors present themselves, which is very encouraging. The game selection is substantial, with almost 2000 slot games on offer and many other categories available, including a live casino.
They’ve also got a pleasant welcome bonus and a few other sweeteners for current players, which means Amun-Ra is attractive not just for new players but for those who stick around as well. A loyalty program has been specially made for the most frequent and dedicated players, involving a range of tiers with greater rewards the higher you go. Another special feature on the website is also under development, which promises to give players even more chances to win. And in yet another positive note, the terms and conditions are written clearly and are simple to understand.
Sometimes it can be a burden to find out what rules apply and how you can take advantage of the offers available, but AmunRa has made sure this won’t be a problem. The player also has the option of using a live chat facility to discuss any problems they are experiencing.
This makes Amun Ra a compelling casino upon first glance, let alone once you’ve signed up. In the rest of this review, we will take you through all of the important features so that you can become familiar with, and get the most benefit from, Amun-Ra Casino. It all begins with the sign-up bonus.

Bonuses and Promotions

AmunRa offers a multi-deposit sign-up bonus which allows new players to receive up to $1000 in additional bonus money. This gives players a great start to their gambling experience because they’ll have a higher chance of winning real money as soon as they’ve made their first few deposits. There are three further bonuses which are live at the time of writing. These are a weekly cashback, a deposit match bonus for live blackjack, and a yearly birthday bonus for all players. These add a nice touch to your experience with the casino, as you can get extra money every single week of the year. Plus, there is a tournament offering currently under development. Further details are not yet available, but it will be packed with gifts for players to win when it goes live. So make sure you keep checking their website for more information. If you’d like to know how to get access to these bonuses, you can find out more in the following sections.

Sign Up Bonus

When you’ve successfully registered with Amun-Ra, you’ll be eligible for a series of match bonuses on your first four deposits. Taken together, the bonus amounts to $1000 if you place the maximum deposit each time. The minimum deposit for each of the four deposits is $20, so be aware you will need to deposit $80 upfront to receive the minimum amount of bonus money. We’ve included the precise figures for each part of the bonus below so that you can calculate how much you’d like to deposit.
  • Your first deposit will be 100% matched up to a maximum value of $300
  • Your second deposit will be 75% matched up to a maximum value of $300
  • Your third deposit will be 50% matched up to a maximum value of $200
  • Your fourth deposit will be 100% matched up to a maximum value of $200
For the avoidance of doubt, the minimum amount you could receive in bonuses by depositing $20 each time is $65.

Other Promotions

There are 3 additional promotions available at Amun-Ra. These are the cashback bonus, live blackjack bonus, and the birthday bonus. In this section, we will give you an overview of each one so that you know how they work and how to claim them.
The cashback bonus will grant you 10% cashback up to a cap of $1000, with the minimum amount of cashback being $5. You can claim it on any single day of each week. Cashback amounts will be credited to your real money balance upon request every Monday. To get this bonus you need to have made at least one minimum deposit that week. The formula for calculating how much cashback you’ll receive is (total deposits – total withdrawals – credited bonuses) x 10%.
The bonus for live blackjack players allows you to receive a 50% deposit match bonus up to $100. The minimum deposit is $20. Each bet is capped at $25 when playing with the funds from this bonus. This means that if you deposit the full amount, you will get an extra $50.
Every year, in the week of your birthday, you can claim a special gift so long as you have deposited at least one minimum deposit that week. The particular bonus you will receive will depend upon your activity with the casino over the past year. To claim it you will need to contact customer support using the live chat in the week of your birthday.
There is also the tournament offering, which is the special feature we mentioned in the introduction. Each tournament lasts for 24 hours and will take you on a competitive adventure to win prizes by competing against your fellow players. It looks very promising, and we can’t wait for it to go live.

Play-through Requirements (Wagering Requirements)

The general rules for the casino specify that every deposit made has to be wagered 1x. This is highly beneficial for players as many casinos set their rates much higher than this. It means that when you place the minimum deposit of $20, you only need to bet $20 before you can withdraw any winnings as real money. There is a chance this is a misunderstanding caused by the casino, but there is no mention of any other wagering rules in the terms and conditions. However, it is another story for bonus money earned through promotions. There are two specific wagering requirements relating to the sign-up bonus and the live blackjack bonus.
The wagering requirements for each deposit in the sign-up bonus is 30x, which includes your real money deposit + the bonus amount. You will need to meet each 30x requirement within 7 days of triggering the relevant part of the bonus. For example, if you activated all 4 deposit match bonuses on your first day, then you would need to wager all of the money 30x 4 times over. So when you’re claiming the welcome bonus, don’t rush ahead and grab all the deposit bonuses at once unless you are confident you could meet this requirement.
As for the live blackjack, the wagering requirements are set at a rather high 50x, and you can only meet them through that one specific game. You’ve also got to meet them within 7 days of triggering the bonus. This will be quite difficult unless you plan to place a lot of bets on live blackjack games.

VIP & Loyalty

Amun-Ra has got a suitably themed Egyptian loyalty program based on a series of Ra-Levels. The full details about the scheme have not yet been updated on their website, but they do have a separate page dedicated to it with some intriguing information. There are silhouettes of a few Egyptian gods, and it looks like players can unlock them after earning a certain number of comp points. Each god comes with one or more gifts, as a symbol of a present is placed next to the name of each god. Only the first gift for the first god is revealed. You’ll get 10 free spins when you earn 20CP and unlock the god Ptah. The points and names of the other gods are as follows:
  • 40CP – Taweret
  • 80CP – Thoth
  • 150CP – Tefnut
  • 300CP – Reshup
More details may be provided as the casino develops its website, or it may be that the other gifts are deliberately kept secret so that they’re a surprise for players when they unlock the corresponding gods.

The AmunRa Casino

At the current time, Amun-Ra does not contain a sportsbook for players to place bets on sporting fixtures. This may change in the future if the casino decides to rebrand or expand, and as soon as we hear about a sportsbook is available, we will write a review of it and put the link here. In the meantime, please feel free to check out our other sportsbook reviews.

How to Start Playing

Luckily, Amun-Ra provides a page with all the details about their registration process. A wide range of countries is restricted on the casino, which includes the United States of America, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Ireland, Italy, France, Turkey, Spain, Slovakia, and Lithuania. The full list is available on the website. You will need to be at least 18 years of age to join. Here is the process you need to follow to successfully join Amun-Ra:
1. Click the blue Join Now button in the top right corner of the website 2. Provide your date of birth, first and last name, registered address, correct email address, and telephone number 3. Create a username and password 4. Register one of the approved payment methods and make the minimum deposit 5. Select the game you’d like to play and begin enjoying AmunRa
The casino has the right to verify your identity. This means your address, contact number and email address must be correct, and any identity documents provided to the casino must be genuine. The casino does this as part of their Know Your Customer procedure and to prove your age.
If they are not satisfied with you, they can refuse registration and close and/or close your account, but if you do everything according to the instructions, there should be no problems.

Payments

The casino accepts deposits and withdrawals from a variety of methods, including cards and e-wallets. The minimum deposit on Amun-Ra is $20, and the minimum withdrawal amount is also $20. You can withdraw a maximum of $7500 a week and $15000 a month. The casino has the right to divide anything over $15000 into monthly installments.

Casino Games

Amun-Ra provides a comprehensive selection of games across many different categories. These are video slots, blackjack, table games, video poker, jackpot, and Egyptian-themed games. They also provide a live casino for a more immersive experience, along with separate sections for new and for popular games. We will explore the slots, table games, and live casinos in the following sections so that you can get a taste of what’s available. You can also rest assured that the site is organized well and everything is easy to find.

Casino Slots

Video slots comprise the majority of the games on offer at Amun-Ra, and these are the ones you will probably spend most of your time using. Amun-Ra currently makes use of 27 game providers including Microgaming, Quickspin, NextGen, Betsoft Gaming, Sapphire, Fantasma, and Yggdrasil. All of the games cover plenty of genres and themes, such as dance, beaches, birds, outer space, romance, dragons, and royalty. Of course, there is also the section dedicated to Egyptian games. They include Book of Dead, Eye of Ra, Max Quest: Wrath of Ra, Enchanted Cleopatra, Legacy of Egypt, Egyptian Fortunes, and more. You can find out which slots are the best according to players using the popular section. Some of the most popular slots include Sweet Bonanza, Buffalo King, Starburst, Rise of Merlin, and Narcos.

Casino Table Games

Amun-Ra offers three main table games, which are blackjack, roulette, and video poker. There are separate pages for each one on the website. The blackjack section is enormous, with over 120 games available. Blackjack Bonus, American Blackjack, Red Queen Blackjack, 21 Blackjack, Blackjack Classic, and Infinite Blackjack are just a few of the types of blackjack on offer. The roulette section is somewhat smaller with just over 80 games, but this is still plenty. Versions of the game at Amun-Ra include Rapid Automatic Roulette, Roulette Master, Silver Roulette, Gold Roulette, Zoom Roulette, and Roulette Royal. Finally, there are 23 video poker games available, featuring choices such as Kings or Better, Joker Poker, Tens or Better, and Deuces Wild.

Live Dealer Games

The live casino at Amun-Ra is one of the largest on the market, with over 200 games. However, there is not much variety. Most of the games are versions of classic titles like blackjack and roulette. Speed Blackjack, VIP Roulette, Common Draw Blackjack, Blitz Blackjack, Standard Blackjack, Blackjack Ruby, American Roulette, and Auto Roulette are a few of the versions available. Several baccarat games are available such as Speed Baccarat and Salon Prive Baccarat, along with a few other games like Super Sic Bo and Side Bet City. The game show Mega Ball is also featured in the live casino. Unlike some casinos, Amun-Ra offers games from more than one live provider, and the choices available for those who want to play blackjack are particularly worth noting. There are simply more than you’d ever expect, and that dovetails nicely with the blackjack match bonus.

Mobile & Apps

Amun-Ra Casino does not currently offer a mobile casino application for either iOS or Android devices, which is a disappointment. However, they do provide a tailor-made experience if you use your phone’s browser. This in-browser version of Amun-Ra mimics the website very closely and has all of the same functionality. It is also free from technical difficulties, which can sometimes make mobile casinos challenging to use. A menu on the side of the website gives you all of the options, and the main screen follows the same layout as it does on a computer. You’ll find the promotions listed at the top, followed by the game categories and then further information about the casino. This makes it simple and quick to use, which is always helpful when you’re busy.

Security & Licensing

This casino is owned by N1 Interactive Ltd, which is registered in Malta with the number C 81457 at the address given at the bottom of their website. They are licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority with the license number MGA/B2C/394/2017, which was issued on 01/08/2018. For added protection, you can secure your account with two-factor authentication to minimize the risk of it being misused.

Customer Support

To get in touch with Amun-Ra, you can do one of two things. You can email them at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]), or use the live chat facility on their website which can be accessed by pressing either the help button in the bottom right corner of the live chat button in the bottom left corner. Live chat is available 24/7. They also have an FAQ page to help with common queries, which you can find in the links at the bottom of the page.

Betopin’s Verdict

AmunRa casino sets an example to the rest in terms of its slick design, ease of use, and visual appeal. No casino is perfect, but this one comes very close. Everything works as it should do, the terms and conditions are easy to follow, and several solid bonuses are provided both for new and returning players. The tournament system looks particularly promising. They’ve managed to strike a balance between being too intense with graphics, and being too plain.
This balance is exactly right. Players will enjoy using the website, but not be distracted by it whilst they’re getting on with gambling or administrative tasks within their account. Plenty of support is available from Amun-Ra, and there is no shortage of intriguing games to maintain interest, even after you’ve been signed up for a long time. The only minor drawback is that the loyalty program is somewhat unclear. The information has not been given regarding how players can accumulate comp points and claim rewards. And by only revealing one of the rewards, there is an element of mystery, but it also doesn’t give the player anything specific to work towards. Overall, this is a casino that could become one of your firm favorites as soon as you begin using it. It has all the games and features that you would expect from a top-quality online casino.
