We continued to talk and he went on about how he is going through a divorce and sitting here at the bar helps with the pain. I tried to make myself seem compassionate the best I could. I told him that I’d buy the next drink and I’ll call a cab home for him. Marriage is a bitch man. My parents got divorced when I was 10. We finished up our conversation and I told him I called him a cab. He said thanks and gave me his number because he wanted to chat again and that I seemed like a nice young man. I didn’t go out much but when I did I always would try to find myself fiddling with people. I tend to lie a lot without actually even noticing. For example, when Jerry and I were speaking at the bar he told me that he served. Now obviously these are all lies and I don’t see how fighting a small war would help humanity’s sake. But, this was the easiest way to get Jerry to begin to trust me. To think I am a friend. He also asked why I wanted to purchase a piece and I told him I was interested in hunting but, was told that I couldn’t buy one because of mental illness. He said to not worry and he would help me out. Later that day I got a call from Jay saying, “Hey Steve, I got in contact with one of my buddies and he wanted to know what type of weapon you were looking for?” I told him specifically that I wanted an M9A1 Beretta, M4 Carbine, and a .50 caliber sniper rifle. I also said if he had any trouble getting them I could throw him some extra cash. I knew that request probably got him thinking of different scenarios that they could be used in. I told Jay that I would throw him $1,000 upfront and afterward the remaining amount. The reason I wanted this amount of firepower is that I planned on stepping up my game. Jason likes to party. He goes to a night club every Wednesday night at 10 pm and goes in without a security team. He also visits an apartment a little ways away from his office every weekend. I don’t know much about this but, this is a start. He does have a personal driver who appears to be armed. One side piece. He goes about everywhere with him. The only place he doesn’t drive him is his house. Jason’s house is a mansion outside of town which is indeed gated. There is a cleaning lady that stops by every Thursday at around noon and gets done by 2 pm. I have no way of tracking Jason’s car because of it being in use all the time. The driver always stays at the car waiting for Jason to return. If you’re asking why I chose Jason? The answer is I want to see if he can protect himself against a threat that is unknown. I have no doubt he’ll try because hell, it’s his job. Call it ironic if you want. The protector using his skills for his own life. I’ve been mapping out his daily routines and things like that to give myself a rough outline of his life. He doesn’t have any family in the state. No girlfriend, no kids, and not much that he would care about. He also owns a vacation home in sunny Florida. I developed a plan that would help me get into his house to get a layout of it. I knew of only one person that goes in and out of the house weekly. The cleaning lady. So I did myself the favor of following the truck and see where it goes after she was done cleaning his house. It led to a factory of some sort and she got out and went inside. There were a couple of other trucks of the same kind there so I guess this is where they store them. A week later, I went ahead and used my skill of social engineering to my benefit when I saw her come outside. “Excuse me miss? Yes … yes. I need your help with something… this truck I need to take it to the shop for inspection. Do you have the keys to the vehicle? I work for [Redacted] company and this vehicle needs to be inspected urgently.” I knew she probably only spoke a little bit of English but pointing at the truck and sounding of importance she had no clue I was speaking a ton of bullshit. She handed over the keys and I handed her a $20 and said “Thank you for your cooperation … I’ll have it back tomorrow!” I drove off with the truck and parked it across the street from my apartment. I then got myself a Uber back over to the factory to get my car back. I did so and drove back to my apartment.
I now just needed to make some sort of believable cleaning outfit. I went to a arts and craft store and picked up some decals to stick on my “Work” shirt that would spell out the companies name. I also picked myself up some gloves and cleaning supplies. I got home and ironed on the letters, got a shower, and went to bed. I woke up the next morning and brushed my teeth. I drank my coffee and walked out the door. I entered the truck and made my way over to Jason’s house right on time. I pulled up to the gate and pressed the button to call in. It ringed and someone answered, “Come on in.” The gate opened and awaited a long driveway to the mansion’s front doors. I only wanted to know the layout of his house if I needed to break in or if it came to be of importance later. I got out and grabbed my cleaning supplies and walked inside. I was greeted with Jason asking where the other lady was and I simply told him she was sick today. He said ok and showed me upstairs. I started to talk to him asking, “So what makes you this much money to get a place like this? I wanted to seem as friendly as possible to make it easier to open up to me. He goes, “I own a company that does security.” I said, “Oh, that’s neat. You ever have to shoot someone?” He looked at me and said, “Yes, I’ve had to do it … it’s my job. I get hired out for security for someone and if their life is being threatened I do my job to protect it.” I replied with, “How many rooms are in this place?” “10” “Hmm, 10 rooms for a single man, that is if you are?” He went “Hahaha, no nothing permanent at least.” So that would make sense. The apartment he has visited, it's a female living there. I asked what he meant by that and he said: “I got to get to a meeting but, ill leave your tip downstairs.” I told him Thanks and he went back downstairs. I quickly pulled my phone out and started to take pictures of every damn room in here. I got finished taking pictures and found myself a door that was locked. I didn’t think much of it but, it was the basement door. I also brought with me my favorite little tool. A keylogger. It basically looks like a little USB that anyone would look past it. I found his office and opened the door. I looked under his desk and there was a desktop and a safe. I was still wearing my gloves at this point and I plugged in the key logger into the computer. I also plugged in something they call a rubber ducky into his personal laptop. It basically runs a script once plugged in running it through the main command prompt with administrative privileges. I had my ducky download all his saved passwords like from google and such and encrypt them back on the USB. I opened the laptop and plugged it in. I typed in a simple password I created to run the commands and it did its thing. I then closed his office and left through the front door. I got into the truck and drove it back to the factory. I kept the keys in the truck and got out and left.
Now was time for step 3. Let the pawn run its course through the game before the interaction of the game master. I wanted every little piece of dirt I could find on this guy so I could manipulate it and turn it into my own little game. It’s like a blanket when you’re a child. You hide and cover yourself from the big bad monster. Well, for instance, this comparison. I am the monster and ripping the blanket off ... revealing all the dirt of one’s past and present. I think some may ask how I mix in working at Verizon and my other extracurricular activities. I get off at 6. The day I scoped out the house I called off. I went ahead and parked outside of the apartment that Jason goes to every weekend. I waited for him to show which he usually comes around 6 or 7. He arrived and went inside. I proceeded to follow him inside wearing a hat and sunglasses hoping he wouldn’t recognize me. I saw which floor he picked to go to on the elevator. The 4th. I quickly went around the corner and ran up the stairs running as fast as I could. I got to the 4th floor and peeked down the hallway. Jason was already walking down the hallway in the opposite direction I was facing. I saw him knock on a door and a younger woman answered. He went inside. I went over to the door to see which apartment he went into. 406. Room 406 is the room I needed to find out who lived in. I brainstormed many ideas of how I could get that information. One of the ways I could get it was by talking to someone in the office for the apartments. Another way knock on the door when Jason wasn’t there and see who it is. I stopped thinking about that when I heard the door open down the hallway. I peeked back around and I saw Jason walking down the hallway. Why? Maybe he forgot something in the car. I took this to my advantage. I heard the elevator ding and I walked down the hall as fast as I could. I knocked on the door of 406 and the woman answered. She had long blonde hair and blue eyes, maybe mid-20s? She asked, “Can I help you?” I quickly said, “Can I borrow your phone for a second … mine died and I got locked out. I just need to call someone for a ride. I won’t be long.” She looked confused for a second and gestured me her phone. “Yeah, just be quick my boyfriend is about to back, he just went out to his car to grab something.” I took her phone and dialed in my number to get her phone number. My phone was in my car at the time, so it wouldn’t ring on me. I called it and acted like I was on the phone with a friend and said, “Hey man if you get this can you come to my apartment, I’m locked out and used the neighbor’s phone … so don’t call back. Thanks.” I hung up and said, “Thanks, have a goodnight.” giving her a slight smile walking away. I went to the stairs and headed back down. I made sure to keep an eye out for Jason. I didn’t see him on my way back to my car. I’m guessing he was already on his way up. I headed back home and got right onto my computer. I plugged in a USB that had a system called tails that would load up all the tools I use to hack. This also acted as a whole new bootable disk. This means I can access everything on here just by plugging it into a computer. I don’t even need the password to the computer just this USB. I started to type in a reverse trace on the phone number I had. It came up with the location being generally in her area. I knew this was correct so I looked at the results. It came up with her name: Kiley Rosita. Age: 24. Email: [email protected]. It also had a little map of like a 5-mile radius where it pinged last. This was helpful because I now know who he has a connection to. I did some more digging around and some searches on the dark web which landed me on something. Kiley has a stage name of Kourtney and she is a porn staescort. She does escort for side money when there are no movies being made. I didn’t understand this. Was he just going to her apartment to get laid and then leave?; or was it because they had a relationship? The whole relationship doesn’t make sense to me because I don’t know what love is. I never am really able to copy what love looks like. Like with the happiness you can smile and be in a “good” mood. With anger, you can become pissed off and act out. With living and watching for years you learn how to fit in and act the way everyone else does. You adapt and become aware of your situation. That is how I view emotions anyways. I just see how others act and basically copy it. The only problem is that love isn’t really an emotion. It is more of a feeling of attraction to others. There is unconditional and conditional love. For example, a mother and her firstborn. There is an everlasting love between a mother and a child. It will last forever. Then there is conditional. Conditional love is something that develops for someone. You choose to love someone for who they are as a person and for what they do. You love someone for their “character” like the morality of someone. There it is again … the morality of society. This is something you can’t copy and look like. I haven’t watched how Jason and Kiley are towards each other so I don’t know if he genuinely feels attachment between each other. These are just strings to find and pull in his life. Some strings you pull, some strings you cut.
I went to work this morning and went on my computer. I typed in “Kiley Rosita” to see if she was a customer of Verizon. To my luck, she was. I clicked on her profile. It came up that she had an unlimited data plan with an iPhone that was bought at the start of her plan. I clicked on the shipping address information and copied and pasted it over to google. It was the same apartment. It also came up with her phone number. There was another email address though. It was a trash email I assume because it was a weird looking account name. I also just for fun looked up Jason’s name too. It came up and I clicked on his name. It showed his address and phone number. I put the phone number down on a sticky note that was near me. I put it in my jacket pocket and continued on with my day. That night after I got down work an idea popped into my head. What if I hire Jason as my security guard? This was just an idea but something I wanted to definitely work with. I went on my computer and booted up tails. I went on my software for the key logger to see what was logged from Jason’s computer. I was looking through the info and something caught my eye. He made a transaction for $500,000.00. What could he possibly need that cost half of a million dollars? I pulled up my passwords that came from the rubber ducky and copied the data into the bank’s website. I connected through a proxy that was only temporary. I went on and clicked on the recent transactions. The money was sent to some offshore account. I tried tracing it but it just led to this car wash that was in Florida. With all the recent drama, I thought this would be a good time to explain how betting licences work, what this means for a customer and how you can decide if the company is “shady” or not. Most importantly, what recourse you have if you’re feeling wronged. Spoiler….if they’re Curacao “regulated” you’ve got none.
I’m speaking from experience, as someone who has founded a betting company and gone through the regulatory process in the UK. This post isn’t being made to justify or defend betting. However, I hope it does make the differences between all the various betting licences clearer.
Betting is (and should be) a highly regulated activity. This is because betting companies:

• offer a service that is not suitable for minors (or other vulnerable people, regardless of their age, for that matter)
• handle money, opening themselves up to risks of money laundering
• can easily screw over customers by being unfair

There are a number of different countries (also referred to as Jurisdictions) who offer online betting licences. However, not all licences are created equal.
For example, when going through the licensing process in a “top tier” jurisdiction (e.g. UK or Gibraltar) they:

• do pretty extensive checks into the backgrounds of the individuals running the company;
• make sure your core betting software is solid;
• understand how much money you’ve got to sustain the business and the financial processes you have in place to make sure you’ll be able to pay out customers
• check that your marketing and customer support teams understand the risks and responsibilities towards customers

The process is long and is only the beginning. After being granted a licence you need: to meet stringent criteria to ensure you’re maintaining your licence by keeping up with your responsibilities. It’s not easy and it’s expensive.
A number of “offshore” locations look to attract betting companies by being “light touch”, to varying degrees. Ultimately, what this means for the customer, is that less people are making sure the betting company is behaving itself. This is great for the betting company but riskier for the customer.

If you have a complaint about a bet, some betting companies will sign up to "dispute resolution services" that act as an arbitrator between a betting company and a customer, if the customer doesn’t feel satisfied with the company’s decision. To be granted a UK Betting Licence, it is compulsory for the company to sign up to one of these services. For Curacao regulated businesses, there is no such thing.
