The End of the Kingdom, Our New Beginning By Federico Garcia Lopez. Published in El Observador Socialista, june 13th, 2157 It has been exactly a month since the fall of the Kingdom of El Dorado, hardly an unknown to us despite little diplomatic contact, being not only our direct neighbor but a well-known den of depravity and degeneracy. You readers must know of a man or woman who spent more than their fair share of nights in one of the many casinos of El Dorado, wasting away in hedonistic decadence.
For the sake of peace this was allowed, for the sake of peace the existence of a kingdom in Venezuelan land was allowed, for the sake of peace even some rapprochement was sought by previous administrations. Yet the existence of any relations between the Kingdom of El Dorado, by all means our nation’s dialectical opposite, and ourselves was puzzling to many, to say the least. A veritable contradiction.
But as always, these dialectical contradictions are resolved one way or another, and to little surprise the nation led by an idiot King crumbled for, as of now, unknown reasons, suddenly and spectacularly. Leaving Bolivarian Socialism as the true heir to not just the Venezuelan spirit but the Venezuelan territory.
What followed was an incredibly rapid response, with the Regional Council of Valencia organizing an impromptu militia reinforced by some of the troops previously tasked with defending the city, and
leading the charge right into the heart of the old Dorado territory: The capital city of Barquisimeto.
Now, this response has been heavily criticized as the Council exceeding their powers, but comrades, in the current state of war we find ourselves in we cannot get bogged down in protocol and bureaucracy. A rapid response was needed and I applaud the Council for their quick thinking in such troubling times as these.
Sadly, the response was not rapid enough to capture the traitorous Royal Family, having long fled by the time the troops were able to storm the palace. Not even trace of the idiot King Mario has been found, although the investigation continues.
It has been exactly a month since these developments and the city of Barquisimeto has seen peace for the past 10 days, seeing little bloodshed after the initial skirmishes and the purging of the most reactionary elements of society, the population happily reorganizing on more equalitarian grounds as I write these words.
Yet there is much to be done.
The end of the Kingdom of El Dorado will be a new beginning for the Venezuelan peoples. It is our duty to liberate the rest of the territories still under reactionary control and to fully integrate all of the Venezuelan people under one banner. We must not falter in this aim.
